Building on our previous AI challenge aimed at protecting forest elephant populations in Central Africa, we want to focus the next iteration on improving the AI models. Our first challenge laid the groundwork by leveraging sound recordings to identify elephant rumble vocalizations and gunshots in the Central African rainforest. As we move forward, we aim to refine and enhance our models and build an automated pipeline, focusing exclusively on model efficiency and effectiveness without the complexities of direct hardware integration.
